IBM and World Community Grid win 2011 Computerworld Honor


IBM and World Community Grid have received the 2011 21st Century Award in Collaboration.

IBM and World Community Grid were awarded the 2011 21st Century Award in Collaboration at the Computerword Honors program. World Community Grid was selected the winner out of 24 other nominees for its innovative use of IT for humanitarian-based research.

The Computerword Honors program recognizes those organizations which create and use information technology to promote and advance the public welfare, benefit society and change the world for the better.
